Last year, one of my yoga classes landed on my mom’s birthday. One of the things my mom and I have always enjoyed sharing is 80’s music. We’ve shared I can’t even tell you how many Poison concerts, and we used to decorate for Christmas to George Michael.
And since she occasionally drops into my classes, I decided what could be more fun than dedicating the class to celebrating her, and built a totally rad 80’s playlist featuring some of her favorite songs?!
The playlist was perfect to making the class fun and special, and I loved being able to pay tribute to the woman that made me!
To continue the fun, I’ve included the playlist we flowed to that day!
Playlist:
-
Faith – George Michael
-
Kiss – Prince & the Revolution
-
Rio – Duran Duran
-
Walk This Way (ft. Steven Tyler) – Run-DMC
-
You Shook Me All Night Long – AC/DC
-
Pour Some Sugar On Me – Def Leppard
-
Your Mama Don’t Dance – Poison
-
Sweet Child O’ Mine – Guns N’ Roses
-
American Girl – Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
-
Don’t Stop Believing – Journey
-
Home Sweet Home – Mötley Crüe
Okay, so American Girl came out in the late 70’s but it’s one of my moms favorites so I bent the timeline a little for her.
What other songs would you add to the list? What are some of you favorite 80s hits?
